CCC Alumni Association

The Corning Community College Alumni Association currently represents over 27,000 graduates located in all 50 states and many foreign countries including New Zealand, Australia and Germany. 

Our most publicly celebrated alumnus is retired space shuttle commander Colonel Eileen M. Collins ’76.  Other highly successful alumni include Dr. Jay Hanas ’68, educator and scientist; Lawrence R. Johnston ’70, former CEO and Chairman of the Board for Albertsons Inc.; Stephen J. Gorton '80, President of Gorton Industries, Inc.; Jeffrey S. '88 and Darrin M. '92 King, Co-owners of One Source Plus, Inc.; and many more that are featured on our Distinguished Alumni link.

Alumni Award Nominations
SUBMISSION DEADLINE:  July 31, 2010

The Corning Community College Alumni Association is accepting applications through July 31, 2010 for next year's alumni awards, which are detailed below.  If you know a CCC alum who has excelled in any of these categories, please print and complete the CCC alumni award nomination form or contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (607) 962-9473 or alumni@corning-cc.edu to have a blank form mailed to you. 

Ann Marie Rossi '76 Alumni-Employee Award

Named for Ann Marie Rossi '76 (1947-2002), an alumna who taught at CCC until her passing, this award recognizes a CCC employee who is also a graduate and has exhibited an on-going commitment to the institution.

Eileen Collins '76 Professional Achievement Award

Named for one of CCC's most distinguished alumni, this award honors an alum who has excelled in his/her chosen field.  Criteria include evidence of continued growth in one's career.

Parsons Community Service Award

Named for the first Chairman of the CCC Board of Trustees, Frederick W. Parsons, Jr., in honor of his commitment to community service through CCC, this award honors an alum that is an outstanding member of his/her community.  Criteria include volunteerism and civic involvement.

Perry Education Professional Award

Named in honor of CCC's first President, Dr. William Perry, this award recognizes an alum who has chosen the field of education as a career and is considered an outstanding educator. 

The One-to-Watch Award

This award will recognize a recent alum who is making great strides in his/her career.

The Founders Community Partner Award

Named in honor of all the pioneers involved in making Corning Community College a reality, this award recognizes either an individual or organization that has been an advocate for the College.  This individual or organization will have made significant contributions to the College for the betterment of the community.

Award recipients will be recognized at the annual Reflections event hosted by the CCC Development Foundation at the College in the fall.
