The Medical Administrative Assistant program prepares students with the skills necessary to enter the medical workforce in doctors' offices, hospitals, and other facilities.
Medical administrative assistants complete office work and help assist the doctor. Job duties depend on the employer, but typically include filling out insurance forms, handling patient files, arranging lab and hospital admissions, scheduling appointments, answering multi-line phones, handling correspondence, and more.
At the completion of this course, each student will be eligible and prepared to take the national certification exam in Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA). Course fee includes $105 certification exam and $90 book.

This American Academy of Professional Codes curriculum will adequately prepare students for the national certification examination. Medical coders must have the skills to sort through complex information that is vital to getting optimal reimbursement for their physicians. This curriculum rounds out coding skills with anatomy and medical terminology.

This basic Medical Terminology course will provide the framework needed before advancing to the Professional Medical Coding course. This course will focus on the many components of medical term and how to break down a medical term by simply knowing the meaning of the prefix or suffix.

This 126-hour course will help you understand changing health care regulations and prepare you for a career in Physician billing. Certified Billing & Coding Specialists are investigators. They hunt down the patient's most important diagnosis, which is based on lab procedures, signs, and symptoms and assign numeric codes for each diagnosis and procedure. The curriculum consists of 26 hours of Medical Terminology and 94 hours of coding and billing. The course prepares you for the NHA National Health Career Association certification and exam, which provides National accreditation and gives you the competitive edge!

This course covers the NYS Syllabus meeting the training requirements of Chapter 544. Information is provided regarding the physical and behavioral indicators of child abuse and maltreatment. It also includes the statutory reporting requirements set out in the New York Social Services Law, such as when and how a report must be made, what other actions the reporter is mandated and authorized to take, the legal protections afforded reporters and the consequences for failing to report.
