Pharmacy Technicians assist the hospital and retail pharmacist in a variety of technical
tasks. They may interpret a physician’s orders, prepare and distribute medications,
perform pharmaceutical calculations, communicate with patients and medical staff,
process insurance billing, control inventory and more. This program will prepare the
student for the National Exam through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

This 132 hour course is designed to educate students regarding the changing health care regulations and prepare them for a career in Physician billing. The course also prepares the students for the (NHA) National Healthcareer Association certification exam.
This curriculum rounds out the relationship with maximizing reimbursement, correct coding linkage and Medical Terminology. The course consists of 30 hours of Medical Terminology and 102 hours of coding and billing.

This training is a dual certification program that prepares the students for Certified Nurse Aide and Home Health Aide examinations and job opportunities. The focus of the course is Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. The responsibilities include assisting the client with meeting the daily need for hygiene, ambulation, nutrition, elimination, comfort, safety, psychosocial and spiritual needs. The students will learn to function as members of the healthcare team.
