Grade B Water Operator Certification
This is a required training course for employees, or anyone interested in ground water treatment, wishing to obtain (re)certification as a Grade B Water System Operator. Grade B is 32-hours in length including laboratory proficiency testing. Classroom topics include: Part 5 of NYS Sanitary Code, Ground Water Sources Development & Maintenance, Disinfection, Iron & Manganese Removal, Air Stripping-Softening-Taste & Odor problems, and Corrosion Control.
Laboratory portion includes: PH, Chlorine residual testing, Bacteriological testing and Turbidity.
Date: 12/3/09 – 2/18/10 (10-week format) no class: 12/24 & 12/31
Time: Thursday nights, 4:00pm – 7:30pm

Instructor: James D. Baker Jr. is a project manager with the waste-water division of Larson Design Group. He has over 24 years of engineering and operation experience working with municipalities across the southern tier of New York and northern tier of Pennsylvania with the planning, design and commissioning of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
