WorkKeys is a tool that you can use to identify skill levels for various occupations and career interests. You can see a direct correlation between skill levels required in occupations
that you are interested in and the skills you have acquired.
WorkKeys is designed to help you move from school to work, or to a new career. Your existing skill levels are measured against the skill levels required for specific jobs.
You can prepare for the WorkKeys assessment through a free, on-line tool -- the WIN Career Readiness System. WIN is available from any location with internet access.
This is a free, on-line interactive study guide that will help you brush up on skills that you will need to successfully complete the WorkKeys assessments. The WIN System
will also help you match your career skills with occupations based on your WorkKeys scores.
Once you are enrolled in the WIN Courseware, you’ll be asked to take three placement tests to assess your skills in Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information,
and Locating Information. You will be asked a series of questions; once you answer a question incorrectly the test is done and you’ll be given a level score.
WIN Courseware will identify where you should start.
The courseware consists of instructional material and there are several exercises in each level; once you’ve completed the exercises, a post-test, will show your progress.
Successful completion of the post-test unlocks the next level.

WorkKeys test questions are based on situations in the everyday work world. There are three foundational skill assessments: Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information,
and Locating Information. Upon successful completion of these three tests you will be awarded a National Career Readiness Certificate which verifies to employers that
you have the necessary skills and abilities to be successful in the workplace.
