Writing Center
Welcome to the Writing Centers!
The Writing Centers provide tutoring to student writers in all courses and at any stage of the writing process. Individualized help is available by appointment, drop-in, or e-mail. The Writing Centers are conveniently located in the Classroom Building, Room C207, on the main campus, and Room U110 at the Elmira Center.
The Writing Center provides:
- Professional tutors
- Peer tutors who receive training in a College Reading and Learning Association certified tutor training program
- APA and MLA citation assistance
- Practice exercises and tests
- Writing-related handouts, reference books, citation guides, etc.
- Access to computers for word processing, searching the Internet, and logging into MyCCC's Library Online
- On-line writing assistance by e-mail
