Accelerated Senior Year

Do you know a high-achieving student who is searching for an academic challenge while getting a jump start on their college career? How about the opportunity to explore their future career field in a subject that encourages them to learn more?

In an effort to cope with budget reductions, many school districts are being forced to eliminate programs. Corning Community College’s Accelerated Senior Year is designed for high-achieving students completing the majority of, or all, graduation requirements by the end of their junior year.

In the past, students had the ability to fill their senior year schedules with meaningful electives. Sadly, many of these electives no longer exist.

“I chose to complete the Accelerated Senior Year program at CCC because I was ready for a serious environment with more academic challenges.

I want to be a lawyer, and with seven years of college ahead of me, what better place to begin than during my senior year.

I’m getting through college a year faster than I originally thought because of the Accelerated Senior Year program. I am also saving about $15,000 a year since I was going to start at a four-year college. Now I realize that CCC is just as great for only a third of the cost.”

“My high school did a great job of preparing me for college level courses. CCC professors are awesome, and always provide help when I need it.

High school students should know that CCC offers many courses that they would enjoy, not to mention they could get several college credits completed during their senior year and save money.”
