Chemical Dependency Counseling

Chemical Dependency Counseling (A.A.S.) provides training and preparation for students wishing to become a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).  The program provides students with knowledge and skills for employment and includes an internship.  In addition to communication, case management and crisis intervention skills, the program includes core liberal arts requirements to facilitate transfer to a four-year institution, if desired.  The curriculum is approved by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services.
