Student Life

Catch the Action:  Learn, Live, Play

At CCC, you will find the campus to be a hub of activity offering many social, cultural and recreational activities, in addition to membership in clubs and organizations, that you’d expect at four-year colleges. The experience you gain from such activities will foster your growth outside the classroom.

The Student Life Department is committed to providing activities and opportunities to meet the various interests of all students including:

  • Intramurals and Recreation:  refer to the tab to the left for full details.
  • Student Activities: refer to the description below regarding the Activities Programming Committee.
  • Student Association: refer to the "Clubs and Organizations" tab to the left for full details.
  • Student Leadership Program:  refer to the "Clubs and Organizations" tab to the left for full details.

The Activities Programming Committee, generally comprised of up to 20 student members, is responsible for providing a variety of social and cultural events outside the normal classroom setting.  A good number of these events are open to the general public.  The events consist of a wide array of performers, lectures, demonstrations and the like.  Past events have included:  "Yewande", music history and performance; Student Video Showcase, "Mission:  Wolf, live wolf demonstration and lecture; Is it Rape?, health awareness program; Buddy Wakefield, Spoken Word artist and MORE!

For information regarding upcoming events open to the general public, refer to the events listed on the "Welcome" tab or contact Nancy Agan.
