January 13 School 3 was leased to CCC from the Corning City School District.
January 28 Two degree programs were approved by the Board of Trustees, Associate in Arts and Associate in Applied Science
February 4 First student applied to CCC. He was Victor Allen Maxwell of Lindley.
Spring First faculty hired. Six full-time and 4 part-time faculty.
March 19 Dr. Perry moved into School 3. There was no heat in the building and the temperature was 42 degrees.
July 2 Sylvia Mapes Allen registers as the 100th student at CCC. She was married and had three children.
September 10 First class registration in School 3 with 210 students.
September 11 Orientation and Placement Exams.
September 14 First day of instruction for the first year of students at CCC.
October 31 The first athletic contest was a soccer game against the University of Rochester freshmen.
December 22 Neil Bulkley and Johanna Abbey were elected the first King and Queen at the Christmas Dance.
