February 5 Nursing building completed.
March 12 Attorney F. Lee Bailey spoke on “The Defense Never Rests.”
March 16-20 Brotherhood Week included presentations of views on drugs, the racial communication gap and racism.
March 22 The German Club of CCC went to Wurzburg, Germany for two weeks.
April 14 Teach-In with Dr. Frederick.
May 16 Dr. Frederick requested a day of mourning for the Kent State students.
May 25 A group Corning community members demanded the immediate removal of Dr. Frederick for steering the College into a “hot bed” of liberal ideas. The Board of Trustees stood by Dr. Frederick who remained President of CCC.
June 9 New York State ruled that Chemung County would not have a separate SUNY College and that it would be advantageous for CCC to enter into some agreements with the county to increase the presence of CCC within Chemung County.
June 17 Frederick W. Parsons, Jr., First Chairman of the College Board of Trustees, retired.
September 20 Ralph Nader, activist, spoke at CCC about “Environmental Hazards.”
October 1 David Susskind, TV producer, spoke at CCC.
October 14 CCC students participated in the nationwide moratorium to protest U.S. participation in the Vietnam War.
October 22 The Red Garter, of New York City, a Ragtime Banjo Band, kicked off Fall Weekend.
November 19 195 pints of blood were donated by students to the American Red Cross.
