January 13 CCC was closed for three days because of ice and freezing weather.
June 10 Dedication of Airport Corporate Park, ACP, by Dr. Eduardo Marti.
June 22 “Dialogues on Race” held at CCC to join various racial and ethnic peoples within the service area.
July 23 Eileen Collins ’76, Commander of the space shuttle, Columbia, goes into orbit and launched the Chandra telescope.
July 27 Commander Eileen Collins guided the space shuttle, Columbia, to a perfect night landing.
August CCC Honors Program students, Susan Dunlop and Debbie Dodge, began studies with the Oxford Study Abroad Program in England.
October 11 The Planetarium was dedicated.
October 11 The Eileen Collins Observatory was rededicated.
October 26 CCC initiated life-work experience to be assessed for credit.
October 29 Math Learning Center’s 30th Anniversary.
