Softball
The Red Barons softball team has become synonymous with winning, not just in the 
Mid-State Athletic Conference or Region III, but on the National level. Since the 1997 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Championship title, the Red Barons have won three additional Region III Championships and in 2004 finished NJCAA National Runners-Up. Over the past 12 years, the team has accumulated a 300-99 overall record, had 28 All-Region selections, three MSAC Players of the Year, three Region III Players of the Year, 33 All-Americans and have never failed to be ranked in the National Poll each season. The 2005 season marked the grand opening of their new softball diamond on Spencer Hill's Main Campus.
The softball team has become CCC's marquee sport and is continually striving towards maintaining its National prominence.
