Participants will utilize the basics of ArcGIS Desktop, the world's leading spatial analysis software, to work with all basic forms of contemporary GIS data and the application of GIS layers to geographic analysis. Participants will also learn the skills necessary to draft basic to sophisticated map layouts and understand state-of-the-art mapping concepts such as dynamic scaling, map label engines, address mapping, vector data editing, and joining non-spatial tabular data to a GIS project. This unique software application is designed for civil engineering, survey mapping, real estate, city and county planning, law enforcement, utility companies, natural gas and mining industries, and other industries that interact with geographical data in their daily business operations.
