Accessing the WAN

Students will create and evaluate various network systems. Topics include: analysis, design, development, implemtation, maintenance and evaluation of different kinds of network systems. The focus will be on various WAN technologies and protocols such as Frame Relay, PPP, HDLC, VPN. Students will also become familiar with creating Packet filters for security on routers using Access Control Lists (ACLs) (3 cr. hrs.) (Spring). Prerequisites: CSNT 1400 and CSNT2400. Lecture/laboratory.
