Introduces the principles and procedures used in PC based CAD/CAM part programming. Uses Mastercam, a PC-based CAD/CAM system, to produce complex machined parts from detailed drawings on advanced CNC machine tools. Topics include basic and advanced CAD/CAM principles and procedures and identification, demonstration and application of machine shop safety equipment and procedures. (3 cr. hrs.) (Fall, Spring).
Prerequisites: TECH 1080 or MACH 1040; MECH 1050 and 1560. Lecture/laboratory. Lab fee.
