Math for Nursing I

This course is the first in a two-course sequence designed for students in the Nursing Program. Students will develop their skills in dimensional analysis for unit conversion and dosage calculation. Proportional thinking will be used to evaluate results. The International System (SI) of Units and non-SI units will be studied. For certain topics and portions of exams, no students will be allowed to use a calculator. Does not fulfill Nursing program math requirement. (1 cr. hr.) (Fall).
Prerequisite: MATH 0960 or placement in MATH 1015 or higher. Intended for students who are preparing to enter NURS 1100 or currently enrolled in NURS 1100.
