Teaching

I get my inspiration to teach, and stay teaching from my students. Most are really happy to be in college and find their place of helping for people in need. I teach online but prefer the in-class settings because of the energy and feedback students have that empower me. Taking a class with me requires a student to do their work on time. In person classes require good attendance to get all of the information they need for quizzes and their upcoming work experience (Practicum).

Courses

HUSR 1030 Helping Skills, HUSR 1040 Human Services II, Group Dynamics, Substance Use Disorder Counseling I and II, Ethics for Human Services and Chemical Dependency Counseling, Practicum for Human Services and Chemical Dependency, and FYEX 1000 First Year Experience.

Professional Development Interests

I attend conferences to maintain my CASAC credential for NYS OASAS (chemical dependency counseling credential).
