Tom Kreiglstein, co-founder of Swift Kick, has been invited to speak with student leaders, college employees, and the public about the uses of social media on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, from 12:15 to 1:45 pm, in the Triangle Lounge of the Commons building on the Spencer Hill campus. This free event is open to the community and is sponsored by Corning Community College’s Leadership Program and Human Resources Office.
The Swift Kick approach and Kreiglstein move listeners from apathy to engagement using innovative training and tools. Swift Kick’s technology lecture and training, “The Secrets Behind Facebook” empowers people, including advisors, leaders, students and members of the public, with the critical technology skills needed for personal success and the tools to mentor others toward success.
Kreiglstein’s first experience with the Internet was an online retail store, which he grew to $1.5 million in sales by the age of 22. Through his second company, Swift Kick, Kreiglstein has addressed thousands of people throughout the U.S. and around the world including South Korea, Indonesia, and Bermuda.
Swift Kick has extensive background in Internet technologies and the dot com era. The instant messenger on Myspace, Date.com and several other social networking sites was created by a co-founder of Swift Kick and was later purchased by AOL.
Kreiglstein was named the top student leadership speaker three years in a row by schools nationwide and has already worked with more than 350 colleges in almost every state.
