Susan began work at CCC in January 2000 as a member of the Early Childhood Department, mainly as the field advisor for students going through the field practicum course. Through the years, Susan has become a part of the Education Department as well, thus teaching courses in both disciplines.
Susan has served on numerous committees at the college, including Calendar Committee, Middle States work-study group, various Search Committees within the Social Sciences/Social Services Division and also as a Division Representative on the Assessment Committee. Most recently, Susan has accepted the position of Assessment Coordinator, along with continuing her duties as an Instructor of Early Childhood/Childhood Education.
Susan has been married to her husband Ray for over 27 years and they have 3 grown children: Matthew, Abigail(with husband Nicholas) and Jacob. Susan and Ray play as much golf as they can from those warm spring days through summer and into the late days of fall. Also bringing her enjoyment are the families 2 labs, Boone and Jackson, who love to go up to Seneca Lake and swim and chase ducks. A newer addition to the family is 2 year old Diesel(son Jacob’s dog), a giant malamute who is full of fluff and has a unique way of “talking” to all of us, especially when he is being sassy! Diesel often spends time in the summer with us when Jacob is off partaking in Army schools or trainings. Above all, Susan just loves to be with her family, no matter what they are doing.
Susan received her education from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, with a degree in psychology and a minor in elementary education. She received her Master’s in Education ,with a specialization in Early Childhood, from Elmira College in Elmira, NY.
