Michael Reynolds is a New York State Journeyman Toolmaker '93, Tool and Cutter grinder, and he holds a B.S. in Vocational Technical Education from SUNY Oswego '99, (magna cum laude). Michael has worked in the machining field for over 35 years, starting out as a teenager in his family's business.

Upon graduating from Horseheads High School in 1981, he served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years before rejoining our local machining community, where he worked until becoming Corning Community College's Coordinator of Machine Tool Technology, and full-time faculty member.

In addition to being a Toolmaker/Toolgrinder, Michael has extensive training and expertise in CNC programming (both manual and CAD/CAM), set-ups, and operation.  Additionally, he strives to remain current in other manufacturing areas, such as the selection, use, and terminology of indexable carbide tooling, changes in work-holding strategies, and new tool-pathing techniques.
