Jobs For the Future Scholarship

SUNY Corning Community College has created a unique scholarship reserved for 50  New York State residents living in identified Elmira zip codes (14901, 14903, and 14904). SUNY CCC will make sure the cost of tuition is covered for Jobs for the Future Scholarship recipients who want to earn a SUNY CCC career-building credential (certificate or associate’s degree) that will prepare you for an in-demand occupation in the region. 

Recipients must meet the following criteria*:

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
  • Complete the New York State Tuition Assistance Program Form
  • Complete the SUNY CCC application for admission, including required documentation and testing
  • Be classified as Independent, as defined by the Federal government
  • Required verification for Federal and State aid, if selected
  • Family adjusted gross income must be equal to or less than $125,000
  • Participants previously enrolled at SUNY CCC must have a minimum 2.00 GPA
  • Maintain adequate academic progress per College, State, and Federal guidelines

Recipients may enroll full-time (12 credit hours) or part-time (6 credit hours) in an approved major and can begin during a regular semester (Fall 2018 or Spring 2019) or one of the College’s FlexStart terms. To apply, contact either Tyre Bush or Dave Empet (contact info below).
