SUNY Corning Community College to host Unbalance of Power Art Exhibit

The SUNY Corning Community College Atrium Gallery serves as the site for the Unbalance of Power art exhibit by the artist group, 2x2. The exhibit will be on display November 11, 2021 through January 14, 2022 and an opening reception was held on Thursday, November 11, 2021.

2x2 art exhibitThe artist collective, 2x2: Maria Driscoll McMahon, Carla Rae Johnson, Sandra Stephens, and Ben Altman, join forces to bring you an exhibition that highlights the asymmetrical tensions between political power and the power of art.

Through drawings, sculpture, photography, and video projection, the artists explore how power operates in societies and in personal relationships to racism, misogyny, homophobia, genocide and privilege.

The SUNY Corning Community College Atrium Gallery is located on CCC’s Spencer Crest campus, just south of Corning, NY (1 Academic Drive, Corning, NY 14830) inside the second floor of the Parsons Administration building.

The Atrium Gallery is open 9:00am – 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
