“The Tempest is rich with magic, music, creative movement, bawdy humor, and delicate romance,” said faculty member Mary Guzzy, who is directing her 21st CCC production with The Tempest. “This play touches beautifully on themes of forgiveness and family and asks us to contemplate the nature of Justice, Spirit, Love, the dangerous pursuit of Learning, and the individual’s place in the Great Globe itself. As the holidays approach, The Tempest offers both entertainment and solemn reflection at a most celebratory time of the year.”
The cast of CCC students and alumni is led by Alan Caum (Prospero), Ethan Bratti (Ariel), Isabelle Merritt (Miranda), Willow Keith (Caliban), Patrick McGrew (Ferdinand), Katie DonDero (Gonzala), Tess Islam (Antonia), Lee Charlier (Alonsa), Clara Moore (Sebastiana), Rebecca Bower (Trinculo), James Mitchell (Stefano), Camden Ayers (Adriana), Madison Krezenski (Boatswain), and Melissa Jacobson (Ship’s Master). They are supported by a versatile and lively cast of goddesses, spirits, nymphs, and strange magical creatures: Anna Shaffer (Iris), Kasandra Webb (Ceres), Olivia Fryburger (Juno), Katelynn Russell, Adryana Kelley, Chelsey Aten, and Camden Ayers.
Technical Assistant Anna-Beth Wheaton is Production Designer, and student Dominick Horton-Miller is Stage Manager.
