CCC students choose CCC for lots of different reasons, almost as many reasons as students.

Josh Harrison, from Hornell, NY, chose CCC because of the criminal justice program. The professors are great and the hands-on opportunities help him learn.

Maranatha Boris, from Corning, NY, started at a different school and transferred to CCC. She's happy at CCC because the professors want to help her learn.

Erica Philogene, from Elmont, NY, likes the diversity in the dorm and all the opportunities to experience different cultures and perspectives. She likes the close-knit feeling on campus and knows that she is not a number or dollar sign at CCC.

Andrew Field, from Elmira, NY, came because CCC the #1 ranked community college in New York is in his back yard. CCC is more than anything he'd heard about it. It doesn't feel like a community college. It feels like a day at work, which is a satisfying feeling.

Cassandra Clark, from Horseheads, NY, came to CCC because of its size. She is comfortable here and it's easy to speak with professors.

Shana D'Angelo, from Mount Morris, NY, came to CCC to play basketball. She is training for a cross-country run against cancer.

Ciara Garza, from Rochester, NY, (left) and Odaysha Small, from the Bronx, both appreciate that CCC is affordable. Ciara had heard CCC was a good school and can now confirm that! She plans to transfer to Binghamton University. Odaysha enjoys participating in activities.

Hanbyul Kim, from South Korea, is in the nursing program. She appreciates the tutoring that is available whenever she wants it. She also enjoys meeting other CCC students who are very friendly. Hanbyul makes great use of the campus facilities and says that they are key her learning.

Tonya Austin, from Pine City, is a full-time mom and a full-time employee. CCC, with its multiple campuses, lets her fit her classes and studies around life.

Mario Caraballo, from New York, NY, likes the one-on-one attention from faculty and tutors and loves playing baseball with the Red Barons.

Jennifer Monroe, from Painted Post, NY, likes CCC because it fits with her busy life. She's a mom of a pre-schooler and also works
