Renewable Energy Explorers
Renewable Energy Explorers is a three-day-long morning workshop for grades 5-8 that teaches Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, with a focus on renewable energy. Activities include:
- Building a laser-cut wind powered charger
- Making a solar oven to cook or dehydrate food
- Learning basic electronics and soldering by building a wheeled Mars Rover
- Making hydrogen and learning about hydrogen-powered vehicles
Two dates available:
June 30-July 2, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
July 8-10, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $30 (scholarships available). Renewable Energy Explorers is partially covered by a grant from the Community Foundation.
