Makerspace Workshops

The Makerspace hosts workshops featuring different projects throughout the year. Workshops give you a chance to make a project or learn a new skill with all the materials provided and all you need to bring is yourself. They are usually scheduled for Saturday mornings, but can be requested at other times with advance notice.

There are no workshops scheduled for May, because it's a busy month for the Makerspace, with end-of-semester student projects, events, and awards.

Workshops by Request

If you have an idea for a different workshop that you would like to see us host, please let us know at makerspace@corning-cc.edu. Most workshops are open to the public, but we can also schedule private custom workshops for your group for a special occasion, team building, birthdays, family reunions, etc. If you see a workshop you are interested in, but the time doesn't work for you, please ask about scheduling a workshop for an alternate time (including past workshops listed below). Scheduling at least a month in advance is appreciated, especially if it's a new workshop that we have not featured before, or if you have a larger group.

Past workshops include: Pollinator Habitats, Laser Engraved Ink Stamps, Laser Engraved Coasters, Laser Engraved Tote Bags, Laser Cut Holiday Ornaments, Laser Engraved Travel Mugs, Laser Engraved and Cut Puzzles, 3D Printed Cookie Cutters, and Laser Engraved LED Acrylic Signs, Laser Engraved Mirrors, Wooden Phone Stands, Raspberry Pi Digital Displays, Temperature and Humidity Loggers, Laser Engraved Charcuterie Boards, and Laser Cut Jewelry.
