How to Drop an ACE or HS CEO Class
There are important dates to consider if a student is considering dropping (first 20% of class) or withdrawing (20+ to 60% of class) from an ACE or HS CEO class. Failure to drop or withdraw from a class will result in receiving the grade the student earned in the course, which could be an F if the student is not completing the College coursework.
To drop or withdraw (depending on what % of the class has passed), students must fill out this form:
Filling out the above form or dropping through login to My Corning, Student Resources, My Banner to the automated drop/withdraw function is required. The ACE Office is the only College Office that can withdraw a student from an ACE or High School CEO course.
Note: For ACE courses in the high school, often a student can stay drop/withdraw from the College class, but remain in the high school class.
Drop Deadline: If the College class is dropped by this date, no notation will appear on your College
transcript.
Withdrawal Deadline: If a student withdraws from a class by this date, a "W" appears on your College
transcript. Tuition, fees, out-of-state charges, book charges are still owed to the
College with a class withdrawal as aligned with the College's refund policy. Certificate
of Residency and related out-of-state charges still apply.
