Fall 2021 at SUNY CCC

Fall 2021 Semester Plans for SUNY Corning Community College

SUNY Corning Community College plans to return to more in-person instruction for the 2021-22 academic year.

SUNY CCC students can expect a more traditional college experience for the Fall 2021 semester — with the majority of classes being held in-person — while maintaining flexibility for students with some hybrid and online classes.

On May 10, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that all SUNY students who will be on campus must be vaccinated before returning to campus for the Fall term.

“As far as I’m concerned, we all have one goal: get everybody vaccinated,” Gov. Cuomo said. “We have to start getting creative. “Let’s make a global statement: you cannot go back to school in September (Fall semester) unless you have the vaccine.”

Looking Forward to Fall Semester

We are optimistic about the future, and we will continue monitoring the situation with regard to the pandemic, as the health and safety of our students, staff, and faculty remain our top priority.

All necessary steps for getting classrooms, laboratory spaces, athletics, and other facilities ready for the Fall semester will be taken in accordance with SUNY requirements and guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Presently, the College is looking forward to increased opportunities for on-campus social activities for the Fall 2021 semester — including at Perry Hall (the SUNY CCC residence hall) and across campus. Athletics hopes to be in full swing (or kick, throw, or stride!) to continue the Red Barons winning ways.

Changes to the instructional plan or other related safety updates will continue to be posted at corning-cc.edu/operating-status.

We understand that choosing to go to college during these times may be challenging, confusing, and complicated. With programs from Nursing to Cybersecurity to Sustainability Studies to Electrical Technology, we can help prepare you for a great future. We are here to help you every step of the way in planning for your next great career and/or 4-year college transfer.
