The Chemical Technology A.A.S. program is designed for graduates to enter the workforce
as a chemical technician or lab technician or process technician. Chemical technicians
work in research, process improvement, product development, measurement documentation,
environmental testing, and quality control. Graduates are prepared for technical
level positions in industries that are targeting innovation in material sciences,
food, wine, agriculture, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields.
The Chemical Technology program is flexible, as the fundamentals and practical applications prepare students not only for immediate employment, but also to continue work toward an advanced degree.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a work internship providing the opportunity for on-the-job experience and enhanced skills that will be valuable to employers.
