Amenities, Options & Costs

All residents of Perry Hall enjoy the following services and amenities that make living on campus comfortable and organized. 

FRONT DESK

The Perry Hall front desk is typically open Monday - Friday from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. The desk is staffed by our Resident Assistants (RAs) or Desk Assistants. Some services offered there:

• Submit a maintenance request
• If you are locked out your room, the RA can let you back in
• Room key pick-up/return
• Mail sorting and package delivery
• General questions about Perry Hall or SUNY CCC

At the desk we have many items available for check-out with your SUNY CCC ID:

• Cleaning supplies
• Kitchen supplies for cooking and baking
• Moving carts

LAUNDRY

Each floor of Perry Hall has a laundry room with 3 laundry machines and 3 dryers. Laundry is free for all residents; residents will need to provide their own detergent, bleach, etc.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Each student plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within Perry Hall. Every student is responsible for locking his or her room and suite doors, refraining from propping doors open, and allowing unescorted guests to enter the building.

Perry Hall is locked 24 hours per day. Residents must use their SUNY CCC ID card to gain access to the building. All doors have alarms that will sound if the door is held open.

Each hallway and lounge area is equipped with cameras viewable only to Public Safety. In addition, Public Safety officers regularly tour the building throughout the day and night.

U.S. MAIL & PACKAGE DELIVERY

All Perry Hall residents are able to receive U.S. Postal Mail and package deliveries. Only mail addressed to the student residing in the room will be released, and mail must be addressed to the student's official university name on file. Mail is delivered to the front desk Monday - Friday, excluding holidays and college closures.

When a package is delivered to the front desk, staff will process the package and leave a package slip in the resident's mailbox. A student must present his or her SUNY CCC ID card to pick up packages at the desk. Please be aware that there is a processing time between when the package arrives at SUNY CCC and when it is delivered to Perry Hall.

Students can send outgoing, stamped mail in the basement of the Chemung building.

WIRELESS

First Light is Perry Hall's service provider for wireless internet. Residents will receive an email to their SUNY CCC email address with their account information approximately 1 week prior to arrival. In addition, representatives from First Light will be available during arrival to help with any connectivity issues.

If you have an issue during the semester, please call First Light at 1-800-977-3584 or email them. Please be prepared to give specific information such as date, time, and location of the issue.

REQUIRED MEAL PLAN

• Students living in campus housing are required to purchase a meal plan.

INITIAL PAYMENT

• You must pay $450 at the time of application. This amount includes a $250 security deposit and $200 which will be applied as a down payment on the room rate charged to your student account upon confirmation of your room assignment.
