Amy Spallone, MD

Dr. Amy R. Spallone. CCC graduate 2008, doctor in Houston, Texas.Hanging out in the General Biology lab when I was the lab assistant and with the faculty and staff in the Bio/Chem Department are my favorite memories from SUNY Corning Community College,” remembers Dr. Amy Spallone, who graduated from SUNY CCC in 2008.

"The Bio/Chem department became my academic family. I had all the support and mentorship I needed to reach for my goals. I even had a designated chair in the department because I was always there studying or working on papers! I am where I am in my professional and academic life because I started my journey at CCC," she adds.

Amy earned her Associate of Science Degree in Mathematics and Sciences in 2008 from SUNY Corning Community College, but she didn’t stop there.

After CCC, Amy went on to Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2010. Then working at CCC as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Biology/Chemistry from 2010 to 2011.

She went on to earn her Medical Doctorate (MD) from Albany Medical College in 2015 and did her Internal Medicine residency at Stony Brook University Hospital from 2015 to 2018.
