Why EOP?

For David Spangenberg, joining the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) began with a recommendation. What started as a suggestion quickly became an important part of his college journey.

Through EOP, David was able to get familiar with campus life before classes began, giving him the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of college and build connections along the way. One of the most meaningful aspects of the program has been the support he found from the EOP staff.

"It's given me a chance to know the lay of the land before descending into the fog of war, and getting to know the staff is phenomenal," said David.

When asked why he would recommend EOP to other students, David points to the sense of pride and support that comes with being part of the program.

"It's something to be proud of," he said. "As long as you do right by EOP, EOP will do right by you."
