2026 Perry Education Professional Awardee

A studio‑style headshot shows a person facing the camera against a softly textured gray background. The person wears a dark green short‑sleeve top and small dangling earrings. Long, straight hair falls over one shoulder, and the image is evenly lit and framed from the upper chest upward.

Jennifer (Rosenblatt) Kennedy has long been passionate about education and knew early on that she wanted to become a teacher. She began her academic journey at Corning Community College, graduating in 2000 with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and continued her studies at Mansfield University, completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education.

Jennifer launched her teaching career in the Corning area, holding various roles as a Special Education Teacher. She has actively contributed to her school community by serving on committees and advising student organizations, including the yearbook, student council, and class leadership teams.

In addition to her work in education, Jennifer is an entrepreneur. In 2010, she founded her own photography business, combining her creative talents with her passion for storytelling. She resides in Corning with her husband—her high school sweetheart—and their two children, who are beginning their college journeys.
