Meet Joshua Donescoss, a Liberal Arts major in his final semester at CCC. As a 33-year-old
adult learner, volunteer firefighter, and aspiring EMT, he is dedicated to making
a difference both in the classroom and in the community.
Originally drawn to CCC for Mechatronics, Joshua discovered his true passion in EMT
and Fire Science. “It has always been my dream to save lives,” he says. Now, he is
working toward his EMT-B certification while continuing to serve as a firefighter
in Corning.
Beyond his commitment to emergency response, Joshua is an active leader on campus.
He serves as President and Editor-in-Chief of The Crier and is a member of the French Club. His favorite place on campus is the Student Life
Office, where he enjoys the free coffee, snacks, and engaging events.
One of Joshua’s unique skills is his expertise in wine. As a Sommelier, he enjoys
sharing recommendations and knowledge with others.
His proudest accomplishment is starting his EMT career path. His advice for fellow
students is simple: “College is what you make it. Give it your all, work hard, and
enjoy the experience.”
