What is the Bookkeeping/Accounting Micro-Credential?
We offer two micro-credentials: Bookkeeping/Accounting and Advanced Bookkeeping/Accounting.
These micro-credentials provides a fast, comprehensive approach to developing a greater understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting functions and is recommended for developing or sharpening skills for both entry level employees and current employees who would like further professional development, or to refresh their skills.
Bookkeeping/Accounting Courses
- BUSN 1100 Business Applications and Solutions (3 credit hours)
- ACCT 1000 Accounting Practices (4 credit hours)
Advanced Bookkeeping/Accounting Courses
- ACCT 1010 Micro-Computer Bookkeeping (1 credit hour)
- ACCT 1060 Fundamental Accounting Procedures (3 credit hours)
- ACCT 2100 Computerized Accounting (3 credit hours)
Stackable to Degree Program
Both Bookkeeping/Accounting micro-credentials align with requirements for the Business A.A.S. and the Accounting/Financial Management A.S. should students choose to continue their education after obtaining the micro-credential.
