To register for classes once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Registration" to launch SSB9;
  • Click “Register for Classes”; select an upcoming term and click “Continue”;
  • Fill out the search fields to narrow your results and click “Search”;
  • Locate a class you would like to register for; on the far right side, click “Add”;
  • After adding all classes you would like to register for, select “Submit.”
  • To see all classes you have registered for, select the “Schedule and Options” tab. (Note: Only in-person classes will appear on your schedule; online classes will not be shown.)

All the services in MyBanner require that you first log in to MyCorning.

  • Go to: https://www.corning-cc.edu/mycorning.php
  • Log in using your username and password. After logging in, click on the “Student Resources” button on the right side of your screen.
  • On the top right, click “My Banner”.

To request your official transcript once in MyBanner:

  • Click "How to Request a Transcript" to go to the Corning Community College transcript information page. Once on this page, you will be redirected to Parchment to place your order.
  • Continue through the screens to "Submit Request."
    • Be sure to request "official" transcript.

Note: You can also view your unofficial transcript by following the above steps to access Student Self Service and then clicking "Academic Transcript."

To add a course once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Registration" to launch SSB9
  • Click “Register for Classes”
  • Select an upcoming term and click “Continue”
  • Fill out the search fields to narrow your results and click “Search”
  • Locate a class you would like to register for and click “Add”
  • After adding all classes you would like to register for, select “Submit.”

To drop a course, follow the above steps to access SSB9 and view current classes in the "Register for Classes" section.

  • From the “Find Classes” tab, the bottom part of your screen will be split between your block schedule and your list of classes.
  • In the list, find the course you would like to drop from your schedule
  • Navigate to the “Action” column (you may need to use the scroll bar).
  • In the dropdown box, select “*Web drop*” and click “Submit” to request to be dropped from the course.

Note: Dropping courses may affect your financial aid eligibility and/or current financial aid package. Contact the Educational Advisement Center if you have questions about how your financial aid may be affected.

Access forms to:

To update your address:

  • Click on the "Personal Information" tab
  • Click “SSB9 Personal Information Page”
  • Click “Personal Information” to view, edit, and update your biographical and demographic information.

To view the Master Schedule once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Registration" to launch SSB9
  • Click “Browse Classes”
  • Select an upcoming term from the dropdown options and click “Continue.” To see all current class offerings, do not select any search field options and click “Search.”

To look up your advisor once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Student Profile" to view your institutional information, including your contact information, enrollment status, and graduation outlook.

Note: For a detailed depiction of your program status and graduation outlook, from the main "Student Services"  menu click “Degree Evaluation” to launch Degree Works. The Worksheets dashboard will display your academic information, including the name of your advisor, your degree program, the credits you have earned, your institutional GPA, and your current academic standing. 

To view your schedule once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Registration" to launch SSB9
  • Click “Register for Classes”
  • Select a term from the dropdown options and click “Continue”
  • Select the “Schedule and Options” tab located directly above the search criteria section to view your current block schedule.

Note: Only in-person classes will appear on your schedule; online classes will not be shown.

To view your financial aid status once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Financial Aid"
  • Select the aid year you would like to view.

Once you are in MyBanner:

  • Click on "Financial Aid." From here, you can see your Award Offer and Financial Aid History.

To accept your financial aid award once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Financial Aid"
  • Click "Award Offer” 
  • You may decline, accept all, or accept a partial amount of student loan offered to you. (Note: Reduce your debt by accepting only the amount of loans that you need).
  • Click "Submit.”

To view your midterm and final grades once in MyBanner:

  • Click “View Grades"
  • Select the term and level and click “Submit.” To view all of your final grades at once, select "All terms."

To do a degree evaluation once in MyBanner:

  • Click “Degree Evaluation” to launch Degree Works
  • Select "Corning" from the campus dropdown
  • Enter your CID and press enter on your keyboard. If you have questions about your program, please contact the Educational Planning Center or your assigned academic advisor.

To verify enrollment once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Student  Profile"
  • In the sidebar navigation column, click "Request Enrollment Verification.” You will be directed to a third-party website to finish the request.  

To view your student account once in MyBanner:

  • Click "Account Summary by Term." and select term to view your balance.  Select "Pay Now" to make a payment. 
  • From the main "Student Services" menu select "Tax Information" to view and print a copy of your 1098-T tax form.
