Presenter Bios:
Laura Clark, SHRM-CP, is a full-time Talent Acquisition Partner for Cornell University and part-time HR
Consultant for Leath HR Group. Laura brings with her 10+ years of experience in training
and education and expanding knowledge of HR. She has worked for a variety of industries
including financial services, manufacturing, and higher education, focusing on building
relationships and growing teams. She is a Certified Professional through the Society
of Human Resource Management and a graduate of the University of Buffalo and Elmira
College. She is a recent half-marathon finisher.
Amy Conway is an HR Consultant with Leath HR Group and works as a Professional Leadership Coach.
She spent nearly two decades in Executive and Human Resources Management at Nordstrom,
one of North Americaโs most reputable retail brands. As a leader, she was best known
for her keen ability to leverage a companyโs greatest assets, their people, which
led to her passion for HR. Amy is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional and Certified
Professional Coach. She is a dedicated member of Kappa Delta Sorority and has served
on the Alumnae Advisory Board at several universities, currently at UNC Wilmington.
Beth Looney is an HR Consultant with Leath HR Group. She is a nationally certified HR professional
with more than 15 years of experience. She earned her masterโs degree in Public Administration
with a focus on Organizational Management. She enjoys working with small- to mid-sized
businesses and draws on her past experience of co-owning and operating a small engineering
firm. She believes that hiring the right people and developing their unique talents
is the most important thing a small business must do. At Leath HR Group, Beth supports
several businesses as their fractional HR Manager, conducts organizational assessments
and compensation studies. In her free time, she plays on several USTA tennis teams
and volunteers with Hoggard High School students.
