AI Training for Manufacturing
This Generative AI training includes a blend of instructional content, live demonstrations, and facilitated exercises. Participants will work individually and in small groups to learn about AI and to identify company problems that could be solved using AI tools.
Participants will build foundational knowledge of how Generative AI works and how to use it effectively through strong prompts. They will also learn to identify high-value AI applications for their facility and day-to-day work and prioritize the projects.

Students will:
• Learn through a blend of live demonstrations, facilitated exercises, and peer
discussions.
• Work individually and in small groups.
Outline of Course Topics:
1. Generative AI Overview
o Understanding AI and its evolution
2. Prompt Engineering
o Techniques for effective communication with AI models
3. Applied Manufacturing Use Cases for Generative AI
o Understanding how AI capabilities can support manufacturing operations across
multiple departments
4. Data Preparation and Analysis
o Using AI for data cleaning, summarization, and analysis
5. Creative Content Generation and Vision Capabilities
o Generating and interpreting text, images, and video with AI
6. Information Verification Methods
o Methods to ensure AI output accuracy and validity
7. Data Security and AI Policy Considerations
8. Participant Identification of Potential Company AI Projects
