ITIL® 4 Foundation Qualification
The ITIL® 4 Foundation qualification is intended to introduce candidates to the management of modern IT-enabled services, to provide them with an understanding of the common language and key concepts, and to show them how they can improve their work and the work of their organization with ITIL® 4 guidance.
Furthermore, the qualification will provide the candidate with an understanding of
the ITIL® 4 service management framework and how it has evolved to integrate new technologies
and ways of working.
The ITIL® 4 Foundation examination is intended to assess whether the candidate can
demonstrate sufficient recall and understanding of the ITIL® 4 service management
framework, as described in the syllabus below, to be awarded the ITIL® 4 Foundation
qualification.
What you will learn :
Key concepts of service management
How the ITIL guiding principles can be used to guide an organization in all circumstances
Four dimensions of service management
The service value system (SVS), its purpose, and components
The service value chain (SVC), its activities, and how they interconnect
The purpose and key terms of 15 ITIL practices, and details for 7 of those practices

Elmarine Jimenez is an Instructor in the Computer/Information Science Department and is certified in CCNP R&S Certified, CCNA level Instructor, DevNet Associate Instructor Trainer and CCNA Level Instructor Trainer. Elmarine has been in the network industry for over 19 years with 7 of those years in a full-time teaching position. Elmarine is a trailblazer in the field of Information Technology for not only being the first award recipient in Jamaica but she was also recognized as the top 10% globally in Cisco Academy Expert Instructor, in 2013 and 2014. Elmarine believes that technology is an avenue that anyone who endeavors to take, would be given the opportunity to make a powerful and positive difference in the world.
