Whether you’re a small business owner, nonprofit leader, or HR staffer, this 2-hour workshop
will guide you through the essentials of an inclusive, compliant, and effective recruitment
process. Led by a seasoned HR consultant, this session covers best practices for writing job
descriptions, preparing interviewers, avoiding key legal pitfalls, and creating a welcoming
onboarding experience. You'll leave with practical tools and insights you can use right away.

Students may cancel 3 days or more prior to the day of class and receive a full refund. Laura ClarkLaura Clark, SHRM-CP, is an accomplished HR professional with over a decade of experience spanning higher education, manufacturing, and consulting. Currently serving as an HR Business Partner at Cornell University, she provides strategic guidance to leadership on talent management, recruiting, compensation, and employee relations. As a certified SHRM professional who has worked in both traditional HR roles and HR consulting, Laura brings a unique perspective on applying HR principles across various organizational contexts. Her practical experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development provides valuable insights for those preparing for SHRM certification and within the Human Resources sector.
