
SUNY CCC to Welcome Over 500 Local Students for STEM Day
Corning, N.Y. -- In collaboration with the Career Development Council Inc., SUNY Corning Community College will host STEM Day on its Spencer Hill campus on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. It will mark the first time SUNY CCC has hosted the event in person since the fall of 2019.
SUNY CCC will welcome over 500 high school students from 22 schools throughout the Southern Tier to Spencer Hill for a day of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) activities.
Students will participate in interactive workshops, hosted by SUNY CCC faculty and staff, as well as industry professionals from organizations such as Corning Inc., Hilliard Corporation, Jabil, Lockheed Martin, Cornell University, WENY-TV News, Chemung Canal Trust Company, Finger Lakes Renewables, and Chemung County.
Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to participate in a math contest for a chance to win awards.
