Fully transferable as a General Education Humanities or Arts elective.

Not going to be a Theatre major?

That’s OK. There is so much more to this class. Think you don’t like history? You will love history seen through the eyes of playwrights, directors, performers, designers of costumes, sets, and more. Explore resistance, revolution, social change, and the impact of politics and policy on society as it’s reflected in the theatre arts of the past. Get insight into the influence of the arts on social change, and the influence of social change on the arts through history.

We can learn significant information about the major issues and concerns of a historical period by studying its theatre; we can learn about the conventions and norms of a society by analyzing its theatrical presentations.

See cool movies. Have lively discussions. Get three hard-copy play anthologies through the Cengage Publishing textbook arrangement with SUNY CCC!

Enroll today! Act now! Don’t delay! It’s showtime!
