Educational Planning

Academic Advising for ACE Students

What ACE classes should I take?

How do my ACE credits apply to my college and career choice?

We want to make it easy for high school students to take advantage of all that they are eligible for through the ACE program. We are here to help you navigate the options available.

We also have High School College Education Online (CEO) courses taught by SUNY CCC professors to round out course availability in the high school.

Goals Undecided?

Expecting you to know in high school what your career goals are can be a tall order. There are many general education courses that students need for an Associate degree or a Bachelor’s degree in many majors.

Some of these courses might include Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Government, Biology, History, and many others.

Known Direction for the Future

English and Math make sense for most, but what else should you take?

We want to partner with high schools and you to identify the coursework best suited for your future educational plans, whether it’s engineering, criminal justice, teaching, or anything else.

We are available to have a conversation with you regarding your future plans and educational goals. We can assist in selecting an optimal mix of ACE courses at the high school (and potentially online courses, if desired and available).

ACE Academic Advising - Email the ACE office to set up a virtual appointment @ ace@corning-cc.edu

These sessions are intended for ACE students to meet with an Educational Specialist to create an educational plan for your career goals. Parents are welcome to attend.
