Teaching

I create spaces to discuss sexuality, gender, race, class, religion, the intersectionality of oppression, and more. I approach my classroom with a social justice lens and try to break down traditional hierarchal approaches to the classroom. Students inspire me to teach and open up conversations and critical thinking around "hard" subjects of society. I am here for the students, their well-being, and their experience first. To be in my classroom is to create your voice and opinions about topics that affect society and individuals. One of my favorite classes to teach is Gender Studies because it allows us to be a support in the classroom while also empowering students to teach themselves and others about different experiences and identities.
