Important Financial Aid News

Continuing current students as well as new students are encouraged to complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa as soon as possible for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 semesters. If you need assistance with completing the FAFSA, please reach out to the phone number or email above to schedule an appointment.
- FSA IDs for all contributors (if you or your parent do not already have a FSA ID, you will need to go to: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/personal-info to create one. This will need to be done 3-5 days prior to the appointment.
- Social security numbers for you and your parent contributor(s) (if your parents have them)
- Date of birth – month, day, year - for your parent contributor(s)
- Knowledge of your legal parents’ marital status
- Parent contributor email address
- Savings, checking, and investment balances for all contributors
- 2023 Federal and State tax forms for all contributors
- Net worth of business and/or farm
- Child support received from the LAST complete calendar year
If you are a New York State resident, please make sure you have applied for the TAP Grant. If you missed the link at the end of the FAFSA application, please complete on the NY HESC website ASAP.

Students from mixed status families are now eligible to apply for NYS financial aid without completing the FAFSA, by going to https://www.hesc.ny.gov/altpath. Students may also reach out to the Financial Aid Office to learn more about their options to apply for NYS aid.
Please note: this is not an alternative to FAFSA, and students who choose to take this route will not be eligible for federal financial aid.
