Allegany County Certificate of Residency
Allegany County has strict deadlines – the application needs to be submitted to the county by 9/30/20 or they will NOT issue a Certificate of Residency.
To obtain a Certificate of Residence (COR):
Step 1 - The link for the Allegany County COR application is:
(ACE students can use their Social Security # for the CCC ID#)

Step 2 – Complete the form and have your signature Notarized (picture ID will be required by Notary):
- Most Town Clerk’s and the Allegany County Treasurer’s Office also have notary public’s available and can assist in explaining the process.
- Bank drive through will also have a Notary that can assist.
- Some high schools have a Notary to assist.
- Corning Community College and the Elmira Center have Notary’s available also.
Step 3 - Mail or Email the form plus a copy of your drivers license or another form with the Student name and address on it to:
Some High Schools may be collecting these applications for you. Check with your local high school.

Step 4 - Allegany County will send the Certificate to SUNY CCC. If you receive the Certificate yourself, please mail/email the certificate to the college at:

**IMPORTANT - The actual certificate needs to be received by CCC to receive the college credit. Failure to receive this Certificate can result in being dropped from the college courses and NOT receiving the college credits.
